    1. need to use more than you might think star rating

Posted by EM on 5th Jan 2017

Once I realised I needed to use more than I was expecting to (a rare £5 coin size, rather than my usual 50p) and my hair got used to going sulphate free, this has worked well for me. Hair is curling better, nowhere near as dry, not at all greasy, feels clean

    2. Interesting star rating

      Posted by blue100 on 12th Jul 2016

I'm new to the 'going natural' movement so this has taken a bit of getting used to as it doesn't lather AT ALL - I have very long hair and have found it difficult to work through the hair because of that - but on the up side I used to be prone to dandruff/build up before and I've had none of that, which I'm quite impressed buy, and it doesn't appear to flatten the hair. I would buy it again but thinking of trying something else first to compare.

Not drying cleans well but smells like expired yoghurt?

    4. Not cleansing enough for type 2b. star rating

Posted by Olivia on 2nd Mar 2015

I tried this shampoo as I've been looking to go sulfate free for a while now. I've been using it for around two weeks and so far it isn't cleansing enough for my type 2b, thick, porous hair. My roots are currently too greasy to wear my hair down, I'm going to persist for another few weeks as I know these things can take time but so far Im not really rating it for my hair type.

    5. Too harsh star rating

Posted by Nina Pedersen on 20th Aug 2014

Felt like it stripped my hair for its natural oils.. Maybe I should try an oil treatment next time, before using it...

    6. Reviewed previously: Wasn't sure but now love it! star rating

Still really like the shampoo - I bought the conditioner which is lovely too and you really do need very little of that. I leave the conditioner on as I shower then rinse off when finished, towel dry and then apply the Cashmere leave in conditioner, again using a small amount. Once this is dry I use the free sample of the moulding glop - just a little rubbed into fingers and palms of hands and pat and press into hair rather than pull it through. This is as close to happy with my hair that I've ever been!!

    7. It is nice. star rating

I like how soft it makes my hair feel and didn't feel that it stripped my hair. I would repurchase it again.

I've used Sulphate free shampoo for some time but like to change things around. This beaut is smaller than I was expecting tbh but smells lovely - kinda caramel vanilla. The shock was just how little it lathered. I really wasn't sure after the first use is this was something I'd stick with. I use more than I expected to from a smaller than I expected bottle. HOWEVER hairy was squeeky clean so what more do you expect. The revelation was after hair had dried. Soft curly curls!! I don't use heat and I've learned to leave hair quite wet and let it sort itself out. With this shampoo my hair wasn't flat to my head one it had dried. Defined curls which moved and weren't stuck to my head and didn't turn to frizz when touched or blown a little by the wind outside. I really love the shampoo. Pricey, could do with a much bigger bottle and a much smaller price. I'm 3a/3b hair type.

    9. Love this star rating

Great scent and it defines and moisturizes my 3b/4a curls quite nicely. As I have low porous hair can feel a bit heavy if used abundantly. Another product to go is the Curls Tea Extacy Conditioner. Leaves hair super soft and easy to manadge! :)

    10. Not for my hair star rating

Posted by Unknown on 19th Feb 2014

This product really does nothing for my hair. I can't even get my fingers through my hair when the product is in. Doesn't make my fair feel soft at all-a real shame as so many good reviews.

    12. Good product - nice smell star rating

Posted by Michelle on 10th Aug 2013

This is my first time using a low poo product and I'm seeing really good results. Will definitely buy again and will also try to conditioner.

    13. Satisfying results! star rating

Posted by Ditte on 25th Jun 2013

This cleansing creme is very hydrating and smells so good! Like caramel! But I have to say, that it's a little to gentle and not quite cleansing enough for my 3a curly hair. I think I have to use another more cleansing product in between using this one - otherwise my scalp looks a bit greasy.. I imagine that it's great for more coily hair types.

    14. Brill shampoo star rating

Posted by Curly Shrimp on 29th Apr 2013

Smells like milkshake and is brilliant for my 3B hair. Just needed to use a splodge, and worked it in really well - confusing at first because it doesn't lather, but left hair feeling clean and soft.

    15. Wonderful shampoo! star rating

Posted by Naomi on 23rd Apr 2013

I have afro hair which I texturize every 3 months or so. It has been quite difficult to find a product which agrees with my chemically altered hair as it is now neither straight or naturally curly. This shampoo has therefore been a god-send keeping my hair hydrated and soft to touch as it works perfectly on my hair and smells gorgeous too!

    16. Different but great! star rating

Posted by Suzanne on 21st Mar 2013

Was unsure that I'd get used to using this product at first, it feels more like a conditioner than a 'shampoo' but got used to it and love it. Tried something else and am going back to it as leaves my hair 3c/4a curls hydrated and happy.

    17. Amazing star rating

I love this cleanser so much ! First, it smells DIVINE, trust me .. And it really cleans AND moisturize your hair. Buy it, you won't regret it..

    18. Smells good, Sulfate free star rating

Posted by Unknown on 28th Apr 2012

If your looking for a sulfate free shampoo that really cleans your scalp then consider this product seriously. It isn't very foaming but it is moisturising for my type 4 curls and gets my scalp very clean.

    19. Great Non-Sulphate Cleanser! star rating

Posted by Emmab on 15th Jan 2012

So impressed with this cleanser! Have tried co-washing in the past, but by the 2nd day my scalp always felt greasy and itchy (although my curls looked great!). Loo sulphate poos are ok, but have a tendancy to dry my hair if I use them every day. Have tried a lot of cleansers, but this is the best for keeping my scalp clean, and adding moisture to my hair.

It does lather a little, and left my hair "squeaky" clean after rinsing, which I was concerned about at first, but after applying my usual rinse out conditioner and styling as usual, my curls were soft and more defined. Even better my scalp feels clean!

May still use a loo-poo once a week, but on the whole think this stuff is wonderful, especially if you are prone to itchy scalp!

    20. WONDERFUL star rating

Posted by cmwen on 16th Sep 2011

I just love this shampoo. This is this only product from the Curls line that I know. I have 4a type hair, and this shampoo works well on my hair. This is my favorite shampoo with the bee mine shampoo bar. The only issue is that I have soo much hair, that I use half of the bottle per shampoo.

    21. Doesn't work for my 3b hair star rating

Posted by Singing curly on 21st Aug 2011

I've really given this cleansing cream a go but I'm afraid it simply doesn't work for my hair. It leaves it feeling sticky and impossible to detangle. It does smell lovely, but this isn't for me...

    22. Nice but a bit too gentle star rating

      Posted by R on 2nd Mar 2011

The smell of this product is divine but overall i didn't find it very cleansing, would have to use a lot, I also found my scalp began to itch after using it for a few months and i think this is because it wasnt fully removing the build up, which is where their clarifying shampoo is probably needed. Its not drying though which is good.

    23. I love it! star rating

Posted by Koily K on 19th Feb 2011

I have about 4 non sulphate shampoos I rotate and this is by far my favourite. Always leaves my hair soft and moisturised but still clean. The smell is too die for as well. My hubby loves the smell too! Cleans my flaky prone scalp as well. Gentle enough for weekly use for my hair.
I have type 4a hair mostly.
Wish it came in a bigger bottles...

    24. Bit heavy for my 3b hair star rating

Posted by Hermine on 13th Feb 2011

I've given this product a good go and have used it about once a week for a few months now but I just find it too heavy for my type 3b hair, I end up feeling like its added to the build up on my scalp rather than cleaning it.

      Smells yummy though!

    25. BEST SHAMPOO EVER! star rating

Posted by cdioruk on 9th Feb 2011

I love this stuff (like all the step 1 & 2 products from the Curls line)! It's the best shampoo ever!
It cleans the hair very well without stripping it, it smells DIVINE, the texture is great, whe you rinse it, your hair actually feels more moisturized. I was even tempter not to condition after using it but i like using the coconut sublime too much.
A must have for all curly girls!

    26. Not for me star rating

Posted by Daisy on 6th Jan 2011

I'll admit the smell of this cleanser is gorgeous, like vanilla, and it is moisturising, but a little too moisturising for my 3B curls. It left my scalp really greasy and made my hair feel really rough in texture. It meant that I found it difficult to detangle my hair with my usual conditioner (which distributes beautifully with plenty of slip normally) and made it feel 'grabby'. Was disappointed but not surprised really as I seem to have a problem with low-poos in general. My hair just seems to prefer sulfates.

    27. Yummy star rating

      Posted by C on 12th Dec 2010

I finally purchased this. When it arrived I must admit I was a little bit shocked by the size, but I think that is more me comparing it to store shampoos. Any who I love it! It smells fantastic.
On first using it I used to much and squashed it all into the front of my hair so I didnt feel like it cleaned my hair. Now I know to section my hair and distribute evenly. My hair feels great. Nice and clean and not stripped.
I now wasH my hair all the time (was co-washing mainly before) because I think this is great.
Hopefully the 32oz will be sold in England soon.
Oh yeah ladies this poo doesnt sud that much

Posted by kinky on 18th Nov 2010

i like this cleasning cream ..but i find it abit too light, so i use a few pumps to feel like i am actually washing my hair with something...it also suds lightly.

    29. conditioning with a lovely smell star rating

Posted by Unknown on 10th Sep 2010

This was the first product I tried that worked for my Type 3b/3c hair. My hair was left soft, moisturised and smelt divine.

Only down point is that my scalp would get quite itchy every 10 days or so and I would need to use another shampoo. This is a common problem with non soap shampoos but not one I have had with some other soap free shampoos hence why I have not given this 5 stars.

All in all a great product.

    30. Yummy scent and does what it says on the bottle. star rating

Posted by Chari on 26th Aug 2010

Shampoos an often be too drying and harsh on the hair especially drier type 4 hair that craves moisture. I needed to find a decent shampoo and this one is both affordable and a solid performer. My hair was left feeling squeaky clean yet not stripped. You do have to follow it with a good deep conditioner but for a product that gets your hair clean without being extremely drying, it's nice. My scalp was also very clean which is something that you miss sulphates for usually. So for a curly girl product it really does make the scalp look anew. The best thing about it is the smell. It smells like delicious pink bon bons and looks like a tasty fruit smoothie or shake. My only small gripe was that since it does not lather, I needed to use alot. Still since it's cheaper than most other natural/cg shampoos and cons, I think I can let that slide.

Get it if you like clean hair that doesn't feel too stripped afterwards and deep condition afterwards.
