This works great for me as a pre 'poo detangler but not so great to leave in due to the Sweet Almond Milk. Lizzy does not like either sweet almond milk or sweet almond oil unless I'm using a rinse out conditioner (sigh). Still looking for my holy grail moisturising leave in/styler.

I have medium porosity 2b/2c hair, with can get very frizzy. This is perfect for banishing light frizz , after using thicker products, and I can use it to top up my hair for many days, it doesn't cause build up and it doesn't leave my hair crunchy or sticky. It's just soft and sweet smelling, a pleasant vanilla-y smell that works well with other smells (e.g like with the coconut smells of the shea moisture hibiscus range). If you have wavy/medium to thin curly hair then I think this would work well, especially on top of other products as by itself it is very light. leaves curls soft and would recommend! :)

I had loads left and was desperate so tried this again despite the bad results last time (see earlier review). This time I used it on soaking wet hair whilst in a steamy bathroom, then smoothed the Curls custard on top and left it too dry naturally. Once fully dry I was left with softly defined, springy curls, less frizz and a subtle sheen. I think this method worked better for me because I seem to have low porosity hair and the steam helped it to absorb. However it still leaves my hair feeling slightly stiff and greasy which I really don't like - but its fine for when I don't have anything else..

lovely smell, it moisturized and smoothed my hair, so nice!
Ce produit a hydraté mes cheveux et les a rendu très doux, j'aime bien!

I like this product. I would definitely repurchase with the soufflé. I haven't tried it on its own, but its main purpose for me is detangle and add moisture before sealing. It works great that way. My hair type is fine 3C.

I used to use this on heat styled hair and it worked great to hydrate and soften but now that I've stopped using heat it does not work... In fact it has made my hair look like a crispy, frizzy mess.. I need to wash it out now... I will not buy this again :(

I used this as a leave in on my colour treated, porous 2b hair. Whilst I like the texture and hydrating feel of this product on my hair it's just too lightweight for my needs. Maybe I didn't use enough product but it would get pretty expensive slathering it on! Absolutely recommend this for someone with healthier less porous hair or fine curls, maybe for second day hair on those with tighter curls than mine.

Makes my 3b/3c hair feel lovely and soft and smells absolutely edible, defines my curls and controls frizz. The only downside is the price, the bottle is smaller than I expected so if you have really thick hair this product would not last you very long...shame

does not suit my transitional hair. will try this line again when my relaxer has fully grown out.

I just started using curls biz and I'm not so saifisted with it. My hair type is a 3c/4a and when I first got my sample i washed it and did a twist out with the curls whipped cream and another time with the curls goddess glaze. After a four days I took out my twists out and applied the curls moisturizer to it. It was beautfiul but then the next day is was real dry and blah. I just received mixed chicks in the mail and will be trying that today. What about pink lotion? Is that good?

I went on a product junkie leave-in binge a while ago and I have to say there are a lot that I liked - Giovanni for lightness, CJ smoothing lotion for slip, Hairveda Whipped creme for moisture. I would buy them all again. This Curls one is my favourite for to leave on freshly washed hair when I hope/expect someone will be touching it later. It smells nice and makes my hair silky and soft without being oily. Because it's light it doesn't give my 3c/4a hair long-lasting moisture or sealing, but it's a nice one for a date (or those drama workshops when you never know what people might do to your head!). I also leave it for special occasions because it's a bit too pricey for me to use everyday.

I bought this recently from a salon in Edmonton to hydrate my loose fractal curls and I love it. Its not greasy and a little goes a long way.
Its just a nice light lotion that leaves my hair looking shiny and naturally hydrated.

I have fine 3c curls and this product was light enough to moisturise with a mega greasy residue. However I did need to use a gel on top as there is not much hold if any at all. I know the bottle says this but the frizz was more than other heavier products give. I would personally give it a 3 but gave it 4 as my daughters 4a waist length curls absolutely love it and soak it up like a sponge. She has natural hold so there was no issue there! Would have given 5 but the smell is plasticky and weird smelling.

Bought dis as my type 4a/b hair tends to love hair milks.....
To b honest even though I wanted to buy n try , I didn't think it was gonna work for my type hair, as I thurt CURLS Hair line was for type 2 or 3 hair.
The hair milk is very light , as its winter I use under the whipped cream (styling creme for type 4s).....da combination keeps my hair silky, moisturizered n frizz free with lots of definition wen used for braid outs:-D.
This combination even revived my hair , wen I had very dry, fizzy crispy hair after using a different leave-in.
CONS:-....*wish it was thicker n more creamy
* da smell isn't da best, abit plasticy....shud hav da same yummy vanilla scent as da whipped cream.

it smells exactly like rice pudding to me. does not contain glycerin, and my hair loves leave-ins with glycerin, so i am thinking of adding a few drops into it. otherwise, not a bad product, it softened my freshly washed and conditioner hair, however since it is very lightweight i could not tell how much my hair needed, so i don't know if i put too much- it defined my curls but killed the frizz. i am not into much definition, i prefer fluffy puffy hair and a bit of natural frizz. i need to keep testing it. overall it is ok so far, it cannot beat curl junkie smoothing lotion however!

Divine smell. Really like the product on my daughter's 3a/b mixed hair. It reduced Frizz but did not control them completely. I want to try Curl junkie products to compare. Has anyone tried both brands? I am hesitating between Curls in a bottle or Curl Assurance Smoothing or Curl Queen. Any advice as to the difference?

bon leave in. tres bonne odeur. mais la liste d'ingredients ne me plait pas. à long terme, ils ne doivent pas faire que du bien...

this product is excellent for my type 3b/3c hair. It leaves it soft and conditioned without any residue unlike other products I have used. It literally melts into your hair.
The smell is so divine that even bar staff at clubs have asked me what I use in my hair as it smells lovely!!
It really softens your curls and helps get rid of any residual frizz!

Great to see the bottle now has a flip-top rather than a pump. Whenever I packed the bottle in my suitcase before, it used to go everywhere! Although I love this product, the packaging did put me off buying it for this reason, but now I have no excuse!

I put this on my hair after co washing and conditioning. It left my hair so soft, my fingers just glided through my hair, no snags or knots whatsoever. It is very light, not nearly as heavy as CJ CCCC. It doesn't give any hold and very little definition so you would have to use other products on top. I used Gel le C and Fuzzy Duck gel on top of this

I love this stuff and have done since it first appeared on the scene.
It has gone through a few changes but I have loved each change that comes Milkshake is probably one of the few products from the Curls line that I always make sure I have.
I use both the Curls and Curly Q's version... I'm not one for the "holy grail" product but milkshake comes close.

This cream both feels and smells wondeful! My application-session with this cream could be never-ending. I love to put it in my hair and I love to smell the scent of it. My hair feels really soft with this milkshake in it. This is why I give it more than an average rate. But this is also where the good things end. According to the description it is 'guaranteed to define, defrizz, revive, hydrate, and soften dry curls'. I would like to struck define and defrizz from the list. Although I love to have it and FEEL it in my hair, it doesn't do much for the LOOK of my curls.

This stuff has a lovely, warm vanilla scent and a light, creamy consistency which makes it easy to distribute through wet/damp hair. I usually apply straight out of the shower and it instantly makes my hair feel soft and gives much needed slip when applying styling products (it gives no hold if used alone). Overall a really nice leave-in, which leaves my curls feeling soft and moisturised throughout the day, but only gets 4 stars as it needs to be used in conjunction with a gel or cream for definition and hold.
