This styling potion is much thinner than traditional gels, which makes it much easier to evenly distribute through masses of thick curls. The trick is to apply it to soaking wet hair. This is true for most styling products, as it's best to get the product into your hair as soon as possible after showering to keep it from frizzing out as it dries.

As our videos demonstrate, it's best to apply quarter-sized puddles of RR at a time to keep any of it from running through your fingers. The number of puddles you'll need will depend on how much hair you have and how much hold you're trying to achieve. For my shoulder length, super thick hair I use about 3 quarter sized puddles followed by a couple spritzes of Gelebration Spray to target my 'trouble areas'. (such as the pieces right by my ears for some reason I can't get a decent coating of RR right there and the Gelebration Spray is easier to get *right there*).

As Rockin' Ringlets is almost entirely all natural, it will never build up or cause flaking. Some people experience a small amount of crunch as it dries, but this can easily be scrunched out once it's fully dry. Scrunching before your hair is totally dry will contribute to frizz, so make sure it's all the way dry before scrunching out the crunch. You can alleviate some or all of the crunch by using a small amount of a leave in conditioner under your RR. Many of our customers use Aloeba as a leave in, and some even mix their RR WITH Aloeba in the same bottle to limit the amount of steps in their styling routine.

    1. Bring your curls back star rating

I'm currently transitioning back to my wavy/curls this product has really helped its a little pricey but I would buy again... You do need to also add a gel as it curl defining but I also need hold

    2. Not really sure how I feel about it... not blown away star rating

Firstly maybe I had the wrong expectations but I thought this worked as a stand alone styling product. My hair is fine and wavy/ curly but needs good hold from a styler or the curl drops out as it dries. Tried this on it's own and it did nothing for me. Then I read that you should use WITH a styler so I applied this to wet hair and then scrunched my usual mousse through. I did see some possibly curliers bits but not sure if that was coincidence and I just had a good hair day. Wasn't miraculous anyway. Tried using more of it and found my hair looked greasy and horrible. I will probably finish the bottle using sparingly but not something I would purchase again when it runs out. Too many products weigh my hair down. Oh and it looks pretty horrible, like brown goo! Not a big deal but not what I expected. Wouldn't have minded if it had been more effective

    3. Nice - but do use with caution on fine hair star rating

I used this twice, first as instructed and then in a lesser quantity, both with awful results - stringy and greasy, but yes, good curl. I then tried again a third time, but in a much smaller amount - forget the puddle - just a small blob, alongside KCKT and Darcy's leave in, and then results were lovely - shiny and defined. So it's a really nice product BUT if you have fine hari you really can overdo it. So - I like it as a product, but would always be very conscious of overdoing it, and I prefer to have a stylimg product that I am a bit less nervous of! That being said, I'll totally use it, and with nice results, and may even get again, bit just could ruin all if used heavy handedly on fine hair

    4. it works star rating

I experimented a bit with this before I found out, do what it says on the bottle and it really works. I small 10p sized puddle smoothed through soaking wet hair in the shower, scrunched with hands, then scrunched with a curl towel really establishes curl pattern before putting some gel on.
I have used Aveda products and this does the same job without changing my hairs texture like Aveda.

    5. Really Really unhappy :( star rating

I have 3a,3b hair and I have been looking for a silicone free product. Tried this as it had raving reviews and I can honestly say it is one of the worse (for my hair) I have ever tried.
My hair dries naturally and I use the same shampoo and conditioner (Naked rescue) and I have given it a good few goes just to be certain.
My normally spirally curls dried into horrible limp bent 2b waves with a load of frizz. I scrunch as its drying thats just how I do it, so thought i would ewatchthe video and follow completely. I had the exact same results :(. Really hate spending money on products that don't work. I love love Africa's Best curl keeper (£2.50) and African Pride Bouncy Curls (£5.99) pudding on top but both are full of silicone so wanted to change and now I just feel like going back to using them :(

    6. Undecided star rating

I bought this for my daughter's 3a type girls. Mostly I am disappointed. The first time I tried it I obviously used far too much - her hair looked grey, flat, and crunchy. A disaster. Second time round I used a tiny 5 pence piece sized blob and used it sparingly. An improvement, but I am still not convinced. Her still looked coated in product. This was expensive, so we will persist with it, but I am definitely not convinced.

    7. not as good as I'd hoped star rating

An allergy to perfume means I need unscented curly products. Sadly, this does not hold my wavy/curls for long. On the first day of washing they are nice, but by the end of day two it's all gone a bit droopy and frizzy. If anyone has any other suggestions for non-scented, non-frizzy hold, I'd love to try them.

    8. good product star rating

I mix a small amount with conditioner and my hair dries in curly with less frizz.

    9. gave me frizz star rating

Posted by sarah hart on 10th Mar 2013

I bought the whole Jessicurl range after reading such great reviews but was so disapointed.
This product gave me no hold or definition and actually created more frizz, even when I used the Confident Coils with it.

    10. not for me star rating

Posted by Tasha on 20th Dec 2012

I got a sample of this with my recent order and tried it. It didn't work very well for me. It did not get rid of frizz nor did it define my curls very well. I would not order this product.

    11. Lovely curl definition and looks goog for days star rating

A lovely, if expensive product. Smells great and leaves my hair defined and soft (after scrunching out the crunch when it is dry)Used with CC it does a lovely job on my bottecelli mid length curls. I use a small amount each day to revitilise my curls and then it last 3-4 days before it needs a wash. Will buy again (which is a high recommendation from me!)

    12. Pretty good star rating

Gives me great ringlets combined with Confindent Coils. Sometimes it gives me too much definition and clumps :-)
