    1. great moisturiser! star rating

I've repurchased this product several times and it never fails to impress. It doesn't have hold, but definately leaves my 3c/4a curls feeling soft and smelling great! I find this product works great on blown out hair too.

      Smell delicious
      Good definition

      I love it

    3. Greasy cream with no frizz control star rating

Posted by Unknown on 30th Apr 2012

I tried this in my 3c curls and though it would be great. It is okay at first but my hair looked dry and frizzy within a couple of hours. Also leaves a greasy residue to the touch, however it did not weigh down my curls surprisingly. Smells heavenly and rubs in well

    4. great definition.....for type4a/b star rating

Use it on its own or for extra moisture on top of CURLS hair milk.....
Dis cream luks thick but wen applying its a light cream but wit greater moisture den da hair milkshake.

It gives great definition for braid outs etc, it evens enhance my curl pattern.

Not sure if it will give me enough moisture used alone on freshly washed hair......but as a combo with da hair milkshake....it does a great job.

CONS-*wud like it to b richer n thicker .....but mayb if it was it may cause too much build up.
*Wud like it in a bottle instead of a tub

PROS:-*Has a yummy sweet vanila scent, not too strong.
      * doesn't cause build up or leave my hair greasy....even wen I load it on my hair.....it absorbs in prefectly n quickly.

    5. Smells delicious, that's it star rating

I love the hairmilk by this brand so I thought that I would like this Step#4 Whipped cream product. However, it did not work on my 4a-b hair nor on my daughter's 3a curls. The cream sits on both of our hair rather than penetrate and moisturize. It is a bit oily despite seeming light. So it just sits on top. I tried it in many ways. I waited months before writing this review. After 6 months of trying it on wet and dry hair, all I can say is that only the smell was nice.

I really like this product allot for a number fo reasons. Firstly, it smells absolutley delicious...while also adding definition, shine and volume without the hard hold. So I got great defintion minus the shrinkage which was exactly what I was looking for. Secondly it can be added to to either wet or dry hair which is a bonus. After reading all the rave reviews about KKC I was sadly dissapointed. Thirdly, this product works well with oils...another major bonus as I really like my castor and coconut oils. In fact after applying KKNT, I added the Curls Whipped Pudding, sealed with castor oil and got great results with my braid out. I was also able to refresh with my mix of coconut and castor oil. I am looking forward to trying the CURLS Milkshake as a leave in. I have a few other products that I want to try for braid outs before I decide on this as a staple but for now this is by far the best! I also disagree with the comment below...as I think this could be used for a wash and go style...and of course we all have different hair on our heads so I think you should try it for yourself.I agree that it cannot be used alone as a moisturiser...but can we really have it all in one prod????ha! And the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I do not think it provides all the moisture that my hair needs...even though it says it can....HOWEVER it does give very good sheen, defintion and beats off the frizz...and as I will always add oils anyway...for me this is a winner!

    7. Not for wash n go styles star rating

I have 3C/4A textures and like to wear my hair in a curly 'fro. However, this product did little for definition or shine. Its also difficult to distribute through your hair as the product is quite thick and requires a lot of water to absorb.
      I wouldn't buy again.

    8. Heavy cream but not Moisturize so much star rating

Posted by Coilygirl on 8th Mar 2010

Good smell good size but not moiturize my hair. my hair is dry after 20 minutes that's a shame.
I don't need to put some hair milk for keeping my hair shiny.

    9. Not great for 4a,4b,4c hair star rating

Posted by The afro kinky queen on 16th Nov 2009

While I loved the thickness of the product it did not impart long lasting moisture on my hair. My hair didn't even stay moisturised throughout the whole day. Would not buy it again. But it smells delicious though.

    10. Back to the drawing board star rating

I am back with my review of twists and twist-out using Curls whipped cream and I am afraid it gets a two star now. Only because after raving so much I can't quite bring myself to give it a one star. This product left my twist-out very hard and rough. I even purchased the quenched curls moisturiser so I could use the products correctly but - no dice. My hair has never felt so bad. The twist-out was defined but the hardness and crunchiness nullified any pleasure I got from it. I will be giving these products away but meanwhile the hunt continues for my "Holy grail" leave-in/moisturising styler!

    11. So far so nice star rating

Posted by Di on 26th Oct 2009

I have only used this for a few days on my 4as/b hair and I am liking it! (Though I admit is VERY early days..)It manages to keep my hair mositurised all day and does not appear to build up over time. I need to dampen a little to reapply but I don't mind doing this if it helps the product absorb better. The smell is also delicious and the texture is gorgeous and creamy. I am going to do a twist-out with it and will report back with results. If it holds up well and I don't see flaking (so common with many products) then I have found a wonderful staple.

    12. It's ok, but... star rating

Posted by Lu on 29th Jul 2009

I have bought this product through this websites about a month ago and when it arrived, I was confused because the website didn't mention that this product is best used with a moisturizer from that same company as it is part of somekind of "curling system". However, this moisturizer is not on Sale here. Also, the cream is really thick, even on wet hair it doesn't disperse easily and you really need to mix it with water.
It doesn't work as well on my rather 4a hair, as I hoped, but then again it is not heavy and greasy. And it smells really nice. To add moisture, you will need another product though.
To be honest, I'm not sure whether I will buy it again. I think I rather try out some other products here : )

    13. Yummy! star rating

Omg.. I thought people were over-exaggerating when I read reveiws about this product and its smell. It really does smell edible! Delicous! And it gave my hair amazing moisture!
The curl definition for me was really good! I have 4a hair on my bottom and sides, fine 3b hair at the back and 3c hair on the top.
The only thing I would have to mark this product down on, is for me personally and to anyone who has really thick coarse hair like me. The whipped cream was good for the definition but it didnt give my hair enough weight. Which is why I would say its only good for twist outs. Not for wearing your hair out if you want a bit of sretch. It left my hair curly but it was too much of a tight 70's fro. I like my fros to be wild and big it didnt stretch my hair enough but the moisture is amazing. Twist outs all the way!
Another good thing about this product is that it can be watered down in your hands (its actually works better with alot of water mixed in, this is why the direction say to apply to soaking wet hair) which equals a longer lasting product! You really dont need to use a ton of this product. Its also good to use after crown prides shea butter mask for extra EXTRA moisture! I will definatly be trying the rest of the Curls line too, thats if the rest smell as good as this one!
