    1. Not for every curly star rating

Jane Carter's Curl Defining Cream is one of my best discoveries, but this definitely did not work for me.

I think it could be the fact that my hair is very porous (I don't actually know my hair as well as most curlies on this site as yet).

I knew from the moment I felt its consistency that my hair wouldn't like it. It actually seems to stop the CDC from defining. When used without CDC, and with or without an oil added to it, it leaves my hair limp, as is shapeless, and gives it a brassy hue I dislike - my hair has golden highlights, and I've noticed certain products could made those highlights turn reddish instead.

It gets three stars because I'm convinced this can be a great product for the right hair type - my guess is, either as a good moisturiser on coarse Afro hair, or in gentle touches on dry European hair.

    2. Great moisturizing cream star rating
